Is there really a difference between your so-called professional hard drives and commercial hard drives?

Yes, there are several differences. Professional hard drives have:

•    More metal parts (as opposed to plastic) which means they are more durable
•    Faster transfer speeds
•    Higher capacities
•    Longer warranties
•    Better cooling systems

When Polyline says it has professional hard drives, we mean our hard drives were designed specifically for content professionals. So, they are faster, hold more content and last longer than commercial hard drives.
